Jacob’s Creek crafts this Double Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe, intense fruit from selected Coonawarra vineyards. The Cabernet Sauvignon is then matured in traditional oak barrels before being finished with the unique Double Barrel technique in aged Irish whiskey barrels. This integrates a myriad of flavours and extra richness to the palate.
The complex palate reveals itself with style. Traditionally assertive Coonawarra tannins are evident at first, before giving way to a mid palate filled with ripe cassis, olive tapenade and complex briary hints. Fine, dusty tannins give excellent line and length, and are layered with sweet and toasty characters reminiscent of crýme brýlýe. The wine exudes vibrant cassis aromas with mint, dark olive and caramel notes.
