The Cognac of Perfect Balance

Red barrels are a specific kind of barrel, which it is aged eaux-de-vie for 4-8 years. At this life stage, the barrel is considered to provide a perfect exchange between the wood and the eaux-de-vie.

Martell VSOP aged in Red Barrels is a first Martell cognac to be aged in red barrels and showcases a great balance, elegance and complexity.

For Martell VSOP aged in Red Barrels, our cellar master selected  very rare “red fine grained oak barrels” , highlighting Martell specific ageing style. It is a great cognac to pair with food!

History of Martell

Founded in 1715, Martell is the oldest of the great Cognac Houses. The elegance, complexity and balance of Martell style are the result of a unique savoir-faire: the distillation of clear wines only and the ageing of its eaux-de-vie in fine-grain oak barrels. The first cases of Martell arrived in China in 1858 and in 1874 in Malaysia.
