The icon: generous and audacious – Rémy Martin VSOP embodies the perfect harmony of powerful and elegant aromas. It is the symbol of the Cellar Master’s art of blending.
Rémy Martin VSOP is composed of eaux-de-vie coming exclusively from the highest-quality vineyards of Cognac, the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. Such eaux-de-vie offer an exceptional ageing potential and are known as Cognac Fine Champagne.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Rich caramel with golden hues
Nose: Dominant notes of vanilla thanks to longer ageing in French Limousin oak barrels, followed by ripe apricot, baked apple, and an elegant floral note.
Palate: A perfect harmony between the firm character of ripe fruit and subtle notes of liquorice, offering a great complexity of elegant and powerful aromas. Well-balanced, structured, and multi-layered, it combines the roundness of ripe fruit with a silky texture. Rémy Martin VSOP is extremely versatile, so you may enjoy it neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails. We recommend drinking Rémy Martin VSOP with ginger ale.
History of Rémy Martin
CRAFTING FINE COGNAC FOR THREE CENTURIES.
The House of Rémy Martin will forever be intertwined with the lands of Charente where it was founded in 1724. It is in this small piece of French terroir that our signature blend of Grande and Petite Champagne crus was born, together forming Cognac Fine Champagne.
Rémy Martin is the only major cognac house which exclusively produce Cognac Fine Champagne. Our cognacs are solely produced from a combination of grapes from the two most sought-after vineyards in the regions of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.
The secret of these vineyards lies in the region’s chalky soil. The permeable subsoil retains moisture in dry weather, maintaining the grapes’ acidity and aromas. The result is exceptionally aromatic grapes which produce fine eaux-de-vie with superior aging potential.
The story of the House of Rémy Martin was written by audacious and spirited men and women—and they will continue to do so.
