Paying tribute to the vibrant designs of Richard Quinn, our Master Blender Sandy Hyslop has created a bespoke, limited edition whisky, using 31 fine malts – one for each year of the designer’s age at the time of the blend’s release, resulting in a floral, fragrant blend.
Richard Quinn graduated from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins Arts and Design School before winning ‘British Emerging Talent – Womenswear’ at the 2018 Fashion Awards, as well as the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Riotous florals, heavy pearls and a fresh take on latex signal Richard Quinn’s distinctive signature style.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Luminous golden copper
Nose: This rare and precious blended malt introduces scented floral notes, elegantly followed with bursts of ripe fruit, lively mango, sweet banana, rich apricot jam, and fresh orange zest. The aroma develops, delivering creamy vanilla fudge, with a gentle hint of cinnamon spice.
Palate: Mirroring the rich sweetness on the nose, luxurious notes of blossom honey are complimented with indulgent chocolate and toasted hazelnut. In the background lies characteristic oak spice with a subtle hint of smoke, brought together by the flavour of syrup-soaked peaches and smooth cream.
Finish: Soft and long with enduring sweet oak aromas.
