Tasting Notes
Colour: Almost black, deep ruby.
Aroma: Concentrated and dense with amazing pronounced aroma intensity. Creamy black raspberry, prune, raisin with very rich smoky damson, blackberry and concentrated cassis. Some rich vanilla oak with toasty notes.
Palate: Phenomenal richness and complexity on the palate with massive black fruit concentration. Dry, full bodied with high grainy tannins, medium plus acidity layered with some spice showing through on the long finish.

Situated in the cool uplands of the North Mount Lofty ranges about 50km north of Adelaide, the vineyards of Jim Barry were established in Clare in 1959. This is a family run winery committed to producing quality wines through an innovative approach in viticulture and winemaking technology.
