Tasting Notes
Colour: Full ruby colour.
Nose: Typical Sangiovese nose of ripe red fruits.
Palate: Rosso is lean and medium bodied Sangiovese fruit forward with persistent flavours of red fruit, great texture and vibrant acidity.
Grape Varieties: 100% Sangiovese
Matches a hearty pasta dish with tangy tomato and meat sauce. The richness of the wine also complements veal, pok and beef, grilled or roasted. Best served at 18 degrees Celsius.
History of Valiano
Valiano is a Tuscan wine estate located at Castelnuovo Berardenga in the Chianti Classico zone, principally associated with red wines based on the Sangiovese grape variety. In 1995 it was bought by the famous Piccini family of Chianti and is managed and marketed as a distinct estate. The estate covers 230 hectares (570 acres) of which 70ha (173 acres) are planted with vines.
