A classic Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, the first vintage release of The Signature was in 1962. Since then, this outstanding wine has acknowledged more than 57 Signatories; people who have enhanced the traditions and culture of Yalumba.

Colour: A very deep dense red
Aroma: The aromas are all classic Signature, with red currants, cool perfumed cedar flavors and complex savoury dried herbs.
Palate: This Cabernet-Shiraz blend shows precise aromatics and is classically rich through the middle palate with exotic florals, cranberry complexity and dark chocolate. A full-bodied wine complemented with a long, flowing, precise tannin profile. A wine that truly reflects the generosity and refinement of the 2016 vintage. Very stylish, very approachable and very drinkable. Decant and enjoy now.. or cellar for ten ++ years for a deeper, richer palate.

Yalumba was founded in 1849 by Samuel Smith, British migrant and English brewer. Samuel named his patch “Yalumba”- aboriginal for “all the land around”. Five generations and 160 years later Yalumba, Australia’s oldest family owned winery, has grown in size and stature, embodying all that has made the Australian wine success story the envy of winemakers the world over.
