On A ONE OFF / A special three-night showcase of Danish Chef, Nikolaj Lenz’s gastronomy spectacular with the aim of introducing Sustainable Hedonism brought to you by CANVASSKL. You can expect to see beautifully plated dishes that are bursting with flavour, all set in the heart of KL at Mari Ristorante & Bar, Old Malaya building, where Chef Nik & Bartender Sidekick Rony, take over the outlet for a week!
Starting with cocktails and nibbles, walk in and see, taste and smell what the true meaning of the word Food & Beverage unites. Where the bar uses ingredients from the kitchen to produce unique and super tasty cocktails. Sourdough Cocktail anyone? 🙂 and yes, the tasty classics are of course available, but with CanvassKL’s twist.
Chef Nik is taking us into his sword of Nordic-inspired Bistronomy. Spend even 5 minutes with him and you will be enthralled in his philosophy of hedonistic sustainability within the industry. A philosophy showcased effortlessly in his food.Â

CanvassKL is a chef and bartender driven bar & bistro with strong farmer partnership. Focused on building and growing awareness of health and hedonism for taste. Collaborating and aiming for sustainability while working with local farmers, suppliers & our own creative.
Mari Ristorante & Bar is located in Old Malaya, a 100-year old colonial building in the city centre, the two-floor restaurant boasts a cocktail lounge with a breathtaking view of the KL Tower through its glass ceiling, two spacious indoor dining areas and an al-fresco! Mari, which means both ‘seas’ and ‘come’ in Italian and Malay, represents the bridge between the two food loving nations.
