I’ve been making (and eating!) Nyonya Kuih, traditional snacks essential to the Peranakan ever since I was young. Nyonya Kuih was a must during special occasions and celebrations in many Malaysian family (including mine!) as it symbolised prosperity, fortune and longevity.
