Tasting Notes
Colour: With reflections of straw yellow, this cuvée is recognisable by the finesse of its slowly rising bubble and its persistent and plentiful mousse.
Nose: A full and precise flavour followed by a fine freshness and a rich, bouquet bear witness to the ageing of the cuvée in the House’s traditional cellars.
Palate: There is a maturity with a touch of floral freshness for this cuvée which expresses aromas of fresh fruit and ripe pears.
Grape Varieties: 40% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir
History of Billecart
Founded in 1818 by husband and wife Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, the Billecart-Salmon House is rich with history. For nearly two hundred years, the Billecart family has been handing down the secrets to making exceptional champagne from generation to generation. Today the House is still independent and is run by the family’s 6th generation: François Roland-Billecart.
