Tasting Notes
Colour: With an intense layer and a cherry red colour. The rim is bright red.
Nose: Very intense with notes of fruit, blackberry and cherry, among the aromas of aromatic plants under the pine forest. The oak is impeccably assembled. It is very complex and delicate.
Palate: Voluminous, elegant and with a lot of finesse. Fruits and aromatic herbs form a harmonious and very delicate set. Cherry and blackberry stand out, on a background of marjoram and cistus. There is a certain sweetness that comes from a warm and excellent vintage. Refreshing balsamic notes appear reminiscent of mint and marshmallow. The touch is very pleasant and there is a perception of high quality fine and sweet tannins that give it life. Excellent CORIMBO, possibly the best we have produced.
Grape Varieties: 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo)
Aging: 14 months in barrique, 80% French and 20% American
History of Bodegas La Horra
After a history of more than 20 years that has made it one of the most prestigious wineries in the DOCa. Rioja, Bodegas RODA began a search throughout Spain in search of the best lands for growing Tempranillo outside of La Rioja. The region that showed the best suitability according to the criteria used was Ribera del Duero and, within this DO, the area of La Horra in the province of Burgos.
This was the place chosen for the birth of Bodegas LA HORRA in April 2009 with CORIMBO and CORIMBO I, wines with character, pleasant and elegant that are at the top of the Ribera del Duero range.
