Tasting Notes
Colour: Red
Aroma: Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant, dark berry fruits on the palate.
Palate: The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from eighteen months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Although drinking well now this wine may be cellared for up to ten years from vintage.
Grape Varieties: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
History of Château Tanunda
Château Tanunda, Icon of the Barossa was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the Valley’s earliest vines as well as its first winery. The Château is privately owned by the Geber family who continue a tradition of fine wine making spanning three centuries.
