The terroir of Chablis has both excellent acidity and remarkable finesse. Thanks to a long ageing on fine lees, Chablis Saint Martin offers the typical minerality of the best terroirs of this wine region. Even though we can compare this precocious vintage with the 2015, the grape balance is comparable to the 2014 vintage because of the cool temperature settling at the end of the maturation process.
Enjoy it as an aperitif or pair with seafood, prawns, or fish.
History of Domaine Laroche
Domaine Laroche was established in 1850, within the exceptional terroir of the appellation Chablis in Burgundy. Michel Laroche is now the fifth generation at the helm of the Domaine Laroche, a family estate of a hundred hectares. Chablis, near Cote d’or, is renowned for its production of superb Chardonnay. The winters are harsh but the hot summers are ideal with cool nights. This ideal terroir lends itself to produce wines with a vibrant, refreshing minerality.
