This Pouilly-Fumé comes from the chalky-clay hills of Saint-Andelain, peak of the appellation where winegrowing dates back to the roman era. It’s terroir made of hard calcareous rock gives Pouilly Fumé its minerality, finesse, its rather fresh and lively character and its name.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Straw color with green undertones.
Aroma: Charming, floral and smoky character. A nose of white fruits, light citrus as well as a good portion of wet stone.
Palate: The wine is dry with a medium plus acidity which helps the medium body to get more structure. It displays its elegance, fruitiness and roundness and is very persistent in the mouth.
Grape Varieties: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Following a tradition of ten generations of winegrowers, from father to son, the Bourgeois brothers and cousins offer the profound sense of the family values and passion in making fine Sancerre and Pouilly Fume. Run by Jean Marie Bougeois, his sons – Arnaud, Lionel and his nephew Jean – Christophe, the estate of Henri Bourgeois composes of 72ha – of 120 unique parcels, the Bourgeois family’s key principles in viticulture follows closely of organic sustanable pratices and a strong belief in quality, consistency and expression of the terroirs.
