This wine is named as a tribute to ancestor Julius Henschke, a famous craftsman and highly acclaimed artist and sculptor. Julius was recognised for his ornate headstones and angel sculptures at Gnadenberg Cemetery, as well as his most famous work, the inspiring War Memorial on North Terrace in Adelaide.
Colour: Pale straw with green and gold hues.
Aroma: Exquisite aromas of flowering citrus and bath salts, concentrated white currants, lemons, limes and grapefruit zest, with hints of frangipani and green peppercorns.
Palate: The palate is pure and bursting with ripe limes and succulent white currant flavours, with layered mineral talc-like texture and pure lines of zesty acidity for a very long, fine, dry finish.

The Henschke family is one of the longest-established wine names in the Barossa. Established by Johann Christian Henschke in 1861, each generation built upon the reputation for quality. But it was fourth-generation Cyril Alfred Henschke who in 1958 created one of the world’s most highly sought after red wine – Hill of Grace. Today, fifth generation Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue uphold the family name and reputation, as winemaker and viticulturist respectively. Henschke is also one of the first producers from Barossa to adopt biodynamic practices in their estates.
