History of Montezuma
Montezuma Tequila is produced in the state of Jalisco, Mexico by Barton Brands, Ltd. – a company that produces a variety of distilled beverages and liqueurs and is now part of the Sazerac Company. Montezuma is America’s number two tequila and still growing! Its distinctive packaging features an Aztec calendar, reinforcing the Mexican heritage of the product. This premium tequila is made using traditional techniques and 100% blue agave then aged for a minimum of six months in oak barrels resulting in a smooth and complex flavor profile with notes of roasted agave, oak, and a hint of sweetness – a standout choice in the world of tequila.
