Colour: Brilliant-ruby-coloured wine with a garnet rim.
Aroma: The bouquet of this wine is best described as ethereal and extraordinary. It is so elegant and intense, that aromas of violet, cedar, raspberries, currants, plums and charred wood are bursting out one after another.
Palate: A dry and harmonic wine, with a fruity and velvety character. It is a full-bodied wine, with high acidity, many ripe tannins and a long and velvety finish.
Grape Varieties: Minimum of 70% Sangiovese and a maximum of 30% of Canaiolo and Merlot
Aging: Ageing is done in large 5500 liter Slavonian oak barrels, and partly in French oak barrels. Barrel ageing is done for a minimum of two years. After bottling the wine is aged in temperature- controlled cellars for another 12 months before being released on the market.
