Frequently Asked Questions
We host wine & spirits auctions on a regular basis, where individual sellers register bottles that they wish to consign. Once authenticated, these bottles are listed on our website in a forthcoming auction lot.
All buyers must be a registered Diineout user to bid on an auction item.
During the auction period, registered users may place bids on their chosen lots.
Upon close of auction, the highest bidder is notified and payment requested. The seller receives payment within 14 to 21 days of the buyer receiving the auction item .

For wines, DiineOut accepts red, white, rose, champagne and sparkling wines along with fortified wines such as Port and Sherry – including any limited edition/ aged mature fine wines.
For spirits, we accept whisky, cognac, japanese sake – including any limited edition/ aged spirits.
We do not accept small-format bottles (except mature fortified/ sweet wines), beers, ciders, vermouth, gin and non-alcoholic wines.
Our staff will conduct a strict authenticity and condition check of all consignments received; we will only accept bottles which are authentic and in good physical condition – i.e. undamaged labels with seals intact and no leakage – and we reserve the right to withdraw and reject any item which is unfit or displays evidence of damages/ leakage at any time.
Our selling commission and listing fees are as below:
Selling Commission Rate – 10% on the final hammer price
Listing Fee – from RM20 per lot
(Optional) Reserve Fee – from RM20.00 per lot
Mixed-Case Fee – from RM20.00 per lot
Do note that our listing fee can vary depending on the quality and quantity of each auction consignment.
Once we receive your Seller Form and auction item details, we will provide you with a quote.
It is Seller’s duty to safekeep the auction item in proper and fit-for-sale condition prior to the consignment with us.
All bottles to be consigned with DiineOut must arrive in our office for authentication & condition inspection by the set date which we shall communicate to you prior to the mutually agreed upon auction start date.
You may either bring the bottle to us in person, or have the bottle delivered by postal service or courier (cost borne by Seller).

Our business hours are Monday-Friday: 10am-5pm (Weekends and Public Holidays closed).
If by Seller request, we can arrange for a collection of the auction item, however, a pick-up fee shall be payable for our collection service.
Once we have received your auction item, our auctions team shall inspect its authenticity and ‘fitness-for-sale’ & will be in touch with you prior to listing the item on auction.
Auction periods may vary anywhere from 1 week or more. There will be an auction timer displayed on each Auction item product page.
On the final day of an auction period, our auctions shall end at 12pm (Malaysia time). Once 12pm is reached, the entire auction & bidding activity will end.
You may submit as many bottles as you like.
DiineOut reserves the right to restrict volumes of similar wines in each auction (in particular, cases of mature bottles from a single seller).
Once the item has been sold & after the buyer has paid us, DiineOut aims to pay the proceeds of your sale promptly, within 14 to 21 days of the buyer receiving the auction item.
Payment is made by direct bank transfer and can take a few days to show in your account. Any banking charges or exchange rates are paid for by the seller.
If your item does not achieve the Reserve price you have set, then we can either relist in a future auction or arrange to have bottles returned.
Listing and Reserve fees still need to be paid for each auction in which your items feature.

You will also need to provide photos of the wine & spirits you wish to sell.
Unfortunately, due to the fragility/ rare nature of auction items, we do not offer delivery for auction purchases. This is to limit any liability of any loss or damage, which may arise while the Goods are in transit.
You must arrange for self-collection of auction purchase within four (4) days of us notifying that the Goods are ready to be collected. The collection location (within Klang Valley only) will be advised to the buyer.
Yes. There is only Self Pick-up option following checkout as we do not offer delivery on auction items.
Please note, that Self Pick-up is by Appointment Only and same day pick-up is not available. You MUST book an appointment in order to collect your bottles in person (subject to our office opening hours)

You will be able to collect your auction purchases within 4 working days after payment.
Yes, complimentary storage can be provided up to a period of 30 days from the date when the auction closes. Thereafter, storage fees will be charged at a rate depending on the individual value of the items.
All bids are legally binding and must be honoured. Confirmed bids cannot be cancelled as per our auction Terms and Conditions HERE .
We recommend that bidders satisfy themselves with the physical condition of the bottle(s) as shown in photographs, and that these match the Lot descriptions, prior to placing bids.
If a bid has been mistakenly entered at a higher-than-intended value, then we may be able to amend your max-bid downwards only as low as the existing high-bid at that time.
