Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale straw colour
Nose: Its fruit delivers a bright wine with the immediate richness of a briny shellfish stock, layering langoustine, oyster and scallop freshness into notes of green apple and honeycomb.
Palate: A balance between acidity and soft fruit, with an intense and salty finish.
Grape Varieties: Chardonnay
Vieille Voye is located beneath Premier Cru Les Vaillons on a rounded top with wide exposure. This wine is made just like a Premier Cru: hand-made harvest, grape sorting in the winery and long ageing in French oak “foudre”. The wine you would dream to have with fish or a farmhouse chicken.
History of Domaine Laroche
Domaine Laroche was established in 1850, within the exceptional terroir of the appellation Chablis in Burgundy. Michel Laroche is now the fifth generation at the helm of the Domaine Laroche, a family estate of a hundred hectares. Chablis, near Cote d’or, is renowned for its production of superb Chardonnay. The winters are harsh but the hot summers are ideal with cool nights. This ideal terroir lends itself to produce wines with a vibrant, refreshing minerality.
