Grapes are supplied by local growers who have a long term and in-depth relationship with Laroche. They work the whole year with the Laroche technical team. According to a tradition in Chablis, grapes are crushed and pressed in the property of origin.
A season marked by its precocity. The buds started to show early April, 10 days earlier compared to the 2015 vintage. The cold wave that followed slowed down the growth, leaving good conditions for the flowering beginning of June. Even though we can compare this precocious vintage with the 2015, the grape balance is comparable to the 2014 vintage because of the cool temperature settling at the end of the maturation process. This singular season offered beautiful and quality grapes with good health conditions. Once pressed, the juices are precise and straight with great texture.
Enjoy it as an aperitif or with seafood.
