History of Grandes Vinos
Monasterio de las Vinas is part of Grandes Vinos diverse vineyards. It is one of the Spanish brands with the greatest international presence , the fruit of vineyards that come entirely from Aguarón, one of the highest areas and with the highest quality production of the Cariñena PDO.
The wine, made mainly with autochthonous varieties , pays tribute to the famous Monastery of Las Viñas , built by Cistercian monks in the 11th century , in a privileged place in the Sierra de Aguarón , whose widespread notoriety is doubtful whether it was due to its spirituality or to the great quality of its wines.
The Grandes Vinos y Viñedos winery group was founded in 1997 after a group of wineries in the Cariñena D.O. of Spain decided to work together to make the best wines and cultivate the best vineyards in the region. From the vineyard to the table, Grandes Vinos prints the legacy of Cariñena on each and every one of the bottles it produces, either in its ranges of wines with a more classic palate or in the new proposals for those looking for something fresh and relaxed. The quality and diversity of our vineyards, the perfect starting point for wines that are born with the aim of conquering all kinds of palates.
