History of Bodegas Tampesta
Bodegas Tampesta was founded in 1999 by two brothers aiming at producing artisan wines from local grape varieties typical for the Leon region in Spain, including Prieto Picudo and the white grape variety AlbarÃn.
The vineyard located in the area of Las Lagunillas and recognized for the quality of its soil, we had managed to produce wines with a lot of personalities in which the full potential of the Prieto Picudo and AlbarÃn varieties is manifested.
In 2015 a new stage begins, coinciding with a change of ownership. The image and the facilities are renewed, giving a new impetus to this exciting project. The techniques used in the handling of grapes, must and wine, the control of fermentation, and the preservation process are the most important factors to obtain the highest quality in our wines.
