The wine’s name ‘Isidora’ was inspired by Isidora Goyenechea, a 19th century businesswoman who revolutionized the wine industry in Chile. The Riesling cuttings were brought from Germany and developed in the Maipo Valley with a distinctive personality. Rieslings are celebrated for their versatility, and a well-made one, such as Cousiño Macul ‘Isidora’ Riesling, might offer a crisp, refreshing character, making it a suitable choice for various occasions.

Colour: Pale straw or light gold color
Nose: Fragrant and aromatic profile, with notes of citrus fruits such as lime, lemon, and possibly green apple.
Palate: Bright acidity that is well-balanced by the natural sweetness of the grape. Flavors include a combination of citrus fruits, stone fruits, and sometimes tropical notes.

A family-run winery that has remained strong since it was founded in 1856 and the unique seal of its wines define this iconic vineyard in the Maipo Valley. It is the only vineyard in Chile established during the 19th century that still belongs entirely to the founding family, a characteristic that has marked the identity of the company and the personality of its wines. At Cousiño Macul importance is placed in preserving the traditions that has forged its history, but always with an innovative spirit to adapt to the new demands of the industry.
