It is a complex blend of whiskeys as it is matured in Double Charred Bourbon Barrels. A unique small batch grain whiskey, distilled only one week a year, is blended with traditional Irish Pot Still whiskeys. Blended with a higher proportion of Pot Still whiskey for robustness, a creamy body and hints of spice.
Jameson Black Barrel is a tribute to the cooper’s age old method of charring barrels. These days we use double charred barrels by choice rather than through necessity. Matured in a combination of American oak, sherry casks and double charred bourbon barrels. Time spent maturing in these barrels lends the whiskey exceptional richness and smoothness.
