Yalumba Distinguished Sites is a family of exceptional wines, carefully sourced and masterfully crafted to capture the true essence of specific, special sites within the Barossa. These wines are intriguing, distinct and true to the unique parcel of dirt that inspired their creation, while remaining rooted firmly in the heart of the Barossa.
Colour: Inky crimson
Aroma: Complex aromas full of freshly baked plum cake crushed black pepper, violets and fennel with hints of blueberries.
Palate: The palate is lush with layers of velvet, great structure and flavours reminiscent of satsuma plums, olives, black pepper and anise. The wine finishes savoury and is driven by fine powdery tannins. A great match with pumpkin & mushroom risotto, grilled lamb with chimichurri and dark chocolate cake with poached sour cherries & fresh cream. Can be cellared for the next 20+ years.

Aging: Matured for 18 months in French oak Puncheons new (11%), balance 1 year and older
