Dona Paula Estate Pinot Noir is grown on a bed of stones and limestone, at the confluence of the dry streams that cross Alluvia Vineyard, in Gualtallary, Valle de Uco, at 1,350 meters above sea level. This area has warm days and cool nights, with an average temperature variation of 12.5 °C. The grapes are hand-picked between the first and second weeks of March. After a gentle destemming, the must is cold macerated for three to four weeks to preserve the primary aromas.
History of Dona Paula Estate
Dona Paula, an Argentinean Premium wines producer, is located in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina).
We are absolutely sure that an excellent wine is nothing but the most faithful expression of the vineyard. We also believe that, to establish our own style, it is essential to take care of each process throughout the plants phenological phases. For many years, we have carried out detailed studies of Mendoza’s soils and microclimates and, consequently, we nowadays own 703 hectares (around 1,737 acres) of vineyards located in the most prominent terroirs of Mendoza.
Dona Paula is an Estate winery because we own 100% of grapes used to produce our wines. We have absolute respect for varietal and territorial traits. At Dona Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agricultural practices.
